We are looking forward to the 75th annual Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo!
One of the most spirited events at Pasadena Rodeo is the calf scramble. During this event, each 25 FFA students enrolled in Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte and Clear Creek ISD are eligible to compete in the Calf Scramble, which takes place during the Rodeo performance. Members trade in their boots for tennis shoes, to catch one of the calves darting in every direction.
All scramblers who catch a calf are awarded with a $100 gift card to Cavender's Boot City. 2 lucky scramblers who catch a calf could be awarded up to $1,750 certificate to apply toward the purchase of an animal to exhibit at the Pasadena Rodeo the following year. Exhibitors who return to the Rodeo will compete in a special competition and could receive up to a $300 bonus check if program requirements are fulfilled.
Truly unscripted, this heartwarming event provides youngsters with the opportunity to chase their dreams in hopes of a bright, educational future.
Entry forms will be available on the website June 1st. Completion of the entry form does not guarantee a spot in the calf scramble. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Nights are assigned by the calf scramble committee. If you have a conflict with the night you are assigned, please reach out to calfscramble@pasadenarodeo.com to see if another opening is available.
